The library has an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service where we will request books from other libraries if the Brownsville Public Library does not own a copy of it. ILL service is free of charge and patrons are allowed to request no more than 4 books at one time. An ILL normally takes 7-10 working days to receive from the lending library. The loan period depends on the lending library and it can vary from 1 week to 4 weeks. In order to request an ILL the patron must be a registered user, library card holder, in good standing with our library.
